I've been tagged

I've been tagged by my awesome friend Angel...

The Rules:
1. Link the person(s) who tagged you
2. Mention the rules on your blog
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged

Here's my quirks:
1. I can't stand people talking with food in their mouth... especially on TV.
2. I hate the smell of wet ketchup. When plates with ketchup get left in the sink and it gets wet, I have to hold my breath to wash them.
3. I hate pulling my hair and I wish I could stop!
4. I don't like spending money on myself. I'll buy everything for my kids before I will break down and buy something for myself.
5. I color coordinate my kids clothes with colored hangers... yeah, seriously. :-)
6. I will throw out milk and sandwich meat if i don't know how long it's been open... I can't stand not knowing how old it is, and will usually drink or eat it if it's only been open a day or two.

Seeing as how I only know 3 other people on here, and one of them tagged me, I can only tag two. So, Elaine and Michele, tag... you're it!

My darlings in pictures

I am getting used to my new camera... Brodie "threw" my other one to me and it landed on the lens, promptly breaking. So, now I am using Jason's. Different, but better, he says. I'm not up on all the "megapixel" talk. As long as it takes a clear, good picture, it's a good camera to me!
I LOVE this picture of Brodie!
So innocent, so sweet, so precious looking!
Oh can looks be deceiving!!!
I can't beleive I did it, but after many moments of brushing and gathering and pulling and tugging, I actually managed to get 2 ponytails in her hair! Didn't last long, but she was so proud of them! You can see one of them on the right and some hair from the other sticking out on the left. Someday, man, someday.
Randy plying Indiana Jones on the Wii. It's actually quite a fun game!
You can't see it here, but Riley lost his first tooth!!! YEAH!!! He lost one of the bottom ones and the tooth was already coming in behind it! Now the other bottom one is loose, too! He's so excited to finally be losing teeth like Randy!!

5 months old!!!

Our baby is now 5 months old! Where has the time gone???
We tried oatmeal with him on the 18th. He wasn't sure about it at first, but I think he liked Brodie helping him more than he liked eating!
I'm not too sure about this stuff...
...hmmmmm...
...hey, this stuff isn't half bad!
and a little clean up help from Brodie, he's as good as new!
He's not ready for steak and potatoes yet, but he sure has been watching all of us eat!
I think he'll wait another month or so for more because I'm just not ready for my BABY to grow up yet! He's my last and I'm trying to make it last!!

Typical Night

Sooo... last night at 8pm I started out to give my son a bath. He's only 5 months and I still bathe him in the infant tub in the kitchen sink. I walk into the kitchen to get it ready and notice the dishes hadn't been done. So I start to do the dishes, but the dishwasher needs to be emptied first. Dishwasher empty, I begin to load it again when my daughter spills water on the table. I grab a dish towel to clean it off and promptly remove the books from the table. After drying off the table I grab the books and take them upstairs to the boys' room. Once there I noticed socks hiding under the bed. I know I have a load of whites that need to be done, so I take them downstairs to the laundry room and start the load of whites. I check the dryer and of course there are towels in the dryer. Once folded, I take them back upstairs and go into the first bathroom where I notice the trash can is overflowing. Gather the trash up and take it downstairs to the kitchen trashcan which is overflowing as well. Take the bag outside to the big trash can and notice my sons' scooters are still on the front porch. I put them in the storage box and notice my daughters shoes are in there. Knowing she will be looking for them, I bring them back into the house but get stopped by the phone. While on the phone I notice my son's report card that needs to be put up. Open the closet door and the legos fall out. Cleaned up the legos and find the missing shoe I've been looking for. Take it upstairs to my room and find the files that need to be put away. I go to the compter room and begin to file the papers but have to move the baby swing to get into the cabinet. My daughers' doll is snapped in it, so I unbuckle it and take it in her room. She's finally sleep so I carefully pick up the wet towel and take it to my bathroom where I find my husband has shaved and the sink is filthy. I go to grab a Clorox wet thingy and the box is empty so I go to the hall closet to grab a new can. I find my son's belt. I take it back to his room where I find a half eaten bowl of crackers on the shelf. Trudging downstairs I get sidetracked by the light on in the backyard and stop to switch it off, but not before I notice the grill is still open. Outside I close the grill and and see the remote on the table outside. I step back inside and fold the blankets on the couch and put them back. Then I hear my son start to cry. I pick him up and sit down to nurse, wondering why I'm so tired. My husbands looks up from his Playstation 3 game he's been playing ALL night and asks "I thought you were going to give Colt a bath." GRRR... I start to think...It's now almost 10pm, he's still not bathed, the dishes still aren't done, there is a wet load of laundry waiting to go into the dryer, my daughters shoes are on the kitchen counter, the towels are piled on the potty in the kids' bathroom, the trash can in the kitchen doesn't have a bag in it, the box on the front porch isn't locked, the report card is sitting on top of the lego box which is still on the floor, the files still aren't filed, the bathroom sink is a mess and I'm not sure where I set the bowl with the crackers and when did my phone call end???It's a wonder anything ever gets completed in this house! Can anyone relate???

Niagara Falls FUN!!!

As I said, Jason surprised us with an awesome weekend in Canada! We had an awesome hotel room with an UNBELIEVEABLE view of the falls! At night, they shine HUGE colored spotlights on them. I tried to get some pictures of those, but my camera was being fussy! It was truly a wonderful weekend!
Oh Canada! Even on foreign soil, they still fly our colors!!
4 Musketeers the first night in the hotel!
Waiting for the Dolphin Show
Smile Brodie!
Colt's seat for the show!Beautiful Horseshoe Falls... the Canadian portion of Niagara Falls.
This is the view from our Hotel Room!!!
Rainbow Falls, or American Falls as seen from our hotel room.
Colt infront of the falls as seen from our hotel room.
He was more intrested in the light shining on his feet to look up!

A closer, yet very wet, view of Horseshoe Falls.
American Falls, again.
Randy and Jason riding the roller coaster! Randy LOVED it!!!
Sea Lion's making their appearance! Brodie wanted to slide with them!
Dolphins posing
We named him Canmu (get it.. Canada and Shamu combined?) Here he is posing for the camera. They really are quite graceful!
I loved watching the calf interact with the momma whale.
So much like humans in that respect.

Sea... bird

Had to drive all the way to Canada to go to 7-Eleven!
Yeah.. the gas prices threw us off, too! It's $1.29 a liter!
After some quick math(aided by Randy), we still realized it was tooooo expensive!!

Thus ends our adventure in Canada. It was a long drive, but well worth it! If anyone reading this gets a chance to go, take it! It was worth every penny and baby tear! I hope the boys will take the memories they made and store them away. It was truly amazing to be in a foreign country, just across from New York! However, I'm SO glad to be back on American Soil!!! Nothing like home!! Now, on to TEXAS!!!!

The boys are thrilled to be going to a new country, not just a new state!! I'm in the process of finishing laundry so we can have clothes to wear.. you know all those boring things before the fun!
Be sure to check back next week for pictures!!!

Picture Time!!!!

We've had a very busy week/weekend! Riley had his Class Picnic where the kids got their work portfolio they have worked on all year. He was very excited to show me. He doesn't seem too upset about repeating Kindergarten next year. His only concern was that he wanted a new teacher. (Easy to do since we're moving to Texas!) Randy participated in the schools Field Day and LOVED it! He is so excited to be a 3rd grader now!!! Colt discovered he actually like baths when I got him his own personal tub! Brodie is Brodie. She's headstrong as ever! As for Jason and I, we will be driving home on Monday in a new van! I'll be sure to take pictures when we finally get it home!
We have a fun filled summer, so be sure to come back to check out the picutres!!!
