"Wedding Bliss" and cakes galore!

Our church held a "Renewal of Vows" today and I was honored to be asked to make the "Wedding Cake!" I was VERY excited, since I have never done an "official" wedding cake. I went with a simple 3-tier cake and opted for fondant flowers that I was able to make a head of time. (BIG time saver!) Top and bottom layers were White and the middle was Strawberry. Yummy!!!

This is the topper on the cake. Since it was on Valentine's Day, I went for the two heart with flowers one. I wanted something with pink in it, but that's what you get from a small not-very-crafty town!
Close up of the flowers on the sides of the cake. Was supposed to be 2 different sizes of flowers, but again, was limited to what I could find in the local Hobby Lobby store...My personal favorite... the Groom's cake! I LOVED this topper when I saw it and knew exactly what I wanted the cake to say.
And matching cupcakes for the kids
All in all, it was a FUN adventure! It was worth it watching my parents renew their vows after 40 years. WOW! There was a couple there who had been married 61 years and he decided it was time to be "newlyweds" again! They were so cute!
