Summer's End

We've been a little busy the last week or so... and we had A LOT of fun, too! My mom came from Texas for a visit and we went to New Jersey to the Adventure Aquarium. It's a neat "hands-on" aquarium where the kids can actually touch some of the sea animals. The first picture is Brodie trying to touch the sharks swimming above us while we were in the Shark Tunnel. She was facinated with the sharks swimming by and kept trying to touch them. There was an area that you could actually touch some of the little sharks, but I can't find my pictures from those! I'll have to keep looking!!!

The second picture is from that night in the hotel, after a LONG swim in the indoor pool! The kids were exhausted, but not too tired where they couldn't watch Shrek III! The boys kept proclaiming, " This is the best day of my life." (Of course, the boys HAVE been known to say that at least 2-3 times a day on a regular day, but you could tell this was different.)

Everyone had a good time it seems... a perfect ending to our summer! I can't belive school starts next week! I'm excited for the boys because they are excited, but I know it's going to be an adjustment for Brodie who will lose her two playmates.... but I imagine she will be thrilled when they finally come home! Riley FINALLY gets to ride the school bus, and he is VERY excited about that!! Randy is about to venture into the world of 2nd grade, and Riley is ready to tackle Kindergarten. They are growing up toooo fast! Before I know it, Brodie will be climbing on the bus right behind them!

My next OB appointment is tomorrow... 16 weeks! I can't believe we have known about this miracle for 12 weeks now! It is going so fast, and yet not fast enough! I'm still not showing very much, but I guess that is a good thing! I've actually lost weight instead of gaining. We'll see what the doc thinks of that! I'm eager to finally feel this little one move. I think I'm still in denial, but I'm sure that will change once he/she won't stop moving and let me sleep!

I'm back in the real world again... and it's a bummer! I enjoyed having visitors, someone to talk to during the day, to carry on a REAL conversation other than Transformers and stickers, but then again, tis nice to get back into our routine and settle back down. On a GOOD note!! I found out at the PWOC (Prostestant Women of the Chapel - military version of Women's bible study) here they are having a Beth Moore bible study this next semester!!! And one I haven't done yet! I'm SOOOO excited to get back into "Beth's World" and reconnect with God on a personal level. Beth's studies are always so motivational and reach a level I have rarely found! Praise God!!! Now if I can just convince Brodie she WILL have fun in the nursery for the hour I need for myself!!!
